Everyone is a Billboard Latin Music winner! Well, not really… but I still love you

May 2, 2015

The highly anticipated Billboard Latin Music Awards has come and gone and I am just as sad as you are. Sad that it’s over not about the award winners!

In fact, I am more than content with the award winners that walked – or even jumped and danced – on and off the stage to receive one of the most prestigious awards in the Latin music business. We congratulate the winners and the nominees, you all deserved to be there that night!

JLO AMAZING

Jennifer Lopez performing a Selena tribute at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards; maravilloso

So, we can all agree that Romeo Santos dominated the award show with a whopping ten awards. And even though my favorite, Mr. Henry Churches didn’t win the Artist of the Year award as I predicted, he still dominated with Romeo Santos with the second most awards received by an artist in the whole night with nine awards given to him and Romeo Santos still deserved that award as much as anyone else deserved theirs. As for the most awards in the whole night? We can hand that one to Sony Music Latin who took home 15 awards. Overall, the night was insane. From the crowd to the talent that preformed. I mean, we will never forget that Selena tribute by J-Lo and Los Dinos. Or the performance with Carlos Santana and Juanes.

I am more than grateful for being able to attend and I would like to thank Billboard and Leila Cobo, executive director of Latin content and programming for Billboard for giving me the opportunity to experience it.

Congratulations to all the winners and I hope your night was as amazing as mine.

Now, I gotta go write a song so that I can win my Billboard award at next year’s show. 😉
