Real Life Disney Princesses: Celebrity Lookalikes!

May 29, 2015

Sorry I’ve been gone for a while… school and stuff. I’ve missed ya though! But while I was gone I managed to scrape up some crazy Disney Princess lookalikes that you probably recognize from TV or your music. You’d be surprised at how eerily alike these are, some of them look identical! Did Disney base these looks off them?

Or, conversely, did they base their signature look based on their favorite princess?

Starting from the bottom, I found this OG Disney princess look alike when I was researching short hair for my last IMG_4337post. She’s kind of what inspired this new blog post.

Snow White was the original Disney princess, starting what has become a huge phenomenon every girl goes through when they’re little. Now, normally, Katy Perry doesn’t look all regal and elegant. She’s usually edgy with a different hair color every couple months. But the resemblance here is impeccable and makes me wonder why she wasn’t the one who played her in live action movies.

IMG_4334Moving on to the next princess, everyone loves a Cinderella story. Now, when it came to finding her lookalike, I found a lot of them. Mostly models that I’ve never heard of, but a couple young actresses that show many similarities to the most notorious Disney princess.

Anna Sophia Robb stood out to me the most. Especially in a top bun, I mean c’mon. Her piercing blue eyes are very similar to Cinderella’s, not to mention her hair is almost identical! These two could be twins.

One of my favorite lookalikes is Blake Lively and Princess Aurora, AKA Sleeping IMG_4338Beauty. There are almost a billion people who look like Sleeping Beauty, basically every other girl with long blonde hair. I don’t really know why Blake stood out to me from the rest of them. Maybe because I still bow down to her as Serena Van der Woodsen?

Regardless, she’s one of the most regal and elegant female celebrities to ever walk a red carpet. Ever. And she’s still humble and warm while she does it — qualities Aurora possesses.

Looking for my favorite princesses’ lookalike was a very difficult decision and sparked a little jealousy… IMG_4344but I finally found one I was content with thanks to a couple other websites who are as smart as I!

Why the heck does Anne Hathaway look so much like Belle? I mean, the resemblance is insane. Maybe cause she’s wearing yellow? And she has big brown eyes? And she has long brown hair? So… basically everything? Not too mention, Anne has a lot of the same qualities as Belle — topped by an independent spirit — making them the perfect fit.

I approve.

IMG_4333Deborah Ann Woll is all about the supernatural I guess. She plays vampire Jessica Hamby on True Blood and I bet lots of money that she’ll be our next Little Mermaid.

And although I don’t know that much about her, she looks just like Ariel. Does she sing too? Lets hope and pray she does cause then she would literally be the human form of the princess.

IMG_4332Finding the lookalike for this fiery and badass princess was not hard at all. There are actually a lot of female celebrities that look like Jasmine; from Kim Kardashian to Nicole Scherzinger. But this one stood out to me the most.

Maybe I’m just bias because my favorite show ever is Glee, but Naya Rivera screamed Jasmine to me. First, she’s fierce both on and off screen making her quite similar to the famous princess. And although her looks are only similar at specific times, if you’re ever looking for someone to cast as Jasmine for Aladdin: the live action movie, then you know your girl! She’s resembles her and can pipe out some killer notes if ya ask me.

If you googled Pocahontas, you would find a couple of pictures of Shay Mitchell… deep in the results but they’re still there. The resemblance is uncanny and there really isn’t a difference. It’s almost like Disney made a cartoon carbon copy of her.

Not too mention, Shay is a very independent and free person. Qualities she shares a lot with Pocahontas. At the end of the day, these two ladies are very alike.

IMG_4339Now, Mulan might be a very controversial princess but she still makes a beautiful woman and man. May not be my favorite, but I love her message.

Finding a look alike for Mulan was actually really hard because there are a lot of female Asian celebrities that look like her. Mulan’s facial features have a lot in common with some Latina women, too. But at the end of the day, I chose Jamie Chung, not just because of her Disney background, but also because she has a message too. It may not be about gender equality but about cleaning up the beaches which is still a valuable message we should listen to.

When people found out that Disney was finally making a black princess, they went crazy. Some people reacted goodIMG_4342 and some people reacted bad. Sort of like everyone’s opinion on Olivia Pope… you either like her or you don’t. But, I mean… who doesn’t like her? Anyway, I’m getting off topic.

Kerry Washington may have been a bold choice for Tiana’s lookalike. Specifically with age differences. They would never cast a woman in her mid-30’s as Princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog… or would they? Anyway, I thought they looked a lot a like.I mean, just take a look at them side by side — chiseled chin long forehead, arched eyebrows and big doe eyes — and tell me what you think. PS: The correct answer is: yes, they do look alike.

IMG_4335Whoa. This one is actually scary. Take a second and double take it because I’m sure you thought these two were the same person. Nope…. they’re not.

One of my favorite actresses of all time is Amanda Seyfried and one of my favorite princesses of all time is Rapunzel… so it’s only fitting. Not to mention they are identical and I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney based every single one of Rapunzel’s features off of Amanda.

I’m just gonna leave it there because I’m honestly so shocked I have no idea how to even close this.

This next lookalike is also very, very scary. From the hair to the facial features, Lily Cole looks exactly like Scottishbrave-merida-princess-looks-like-model-lily-cole Disney princess Merida from the movie Brave. Exactly.

I don’t know much about Lily. All I know is that she’s a model from the UK that was scouted when she was fourteen years old. But now, I know something else which is that she looks just like Merida.

The last lookalikes are famous sisters – both the princesses and female celebrities. First, these princesses started a huge epidemic with little girls globally almost two years ago and it’s actually so hard to believe that it was that long ago. Time really flies…

IMG_4336 (3)Starting with the baby sister, Anna from Frozen may not be as nearly as popular as her best bud Olaf but she’s up there. Her lookalike, Elizabeth Olsen – known from movies like Godzilla and Avengers: Age of Ultron – is also known for her famous big sisters; Mary-Kate and Ashley. Yes, she is related to the one and only (or should I say two and only?) little girl with the famous saying “You got it, dude!”.

Besides that, Elizabeth is incredibly talented and looks a lot like the very, very famous Disney princess. Which is not a bad thing considering Anna is very eccentric and whimsical – traits anyone would kill to have.

Last but not least, is Anna’s very popular older sister Elsa. Elsa is basically the new Cinderella with little girls dying IMG_4343to be her when they grow up. And just because Idina Menzel recently died her hair platinum blonde doesn’t mean anything! Elsa’s lookalike was actually cast as another princess in a live action movie…

Yes, I’m talking about Elle Fanning. Don’t you remember? The girl who played Princess Aurora along side Angelina Jolie is the critically acclaimed movie Maleficent. Not to mention, her big sis is big movie star Dakota Fanning. Hate to compare, but seriously like a real like Elsa and Anna except Dakota doesn’t look anything like Anna and Elle is the younger one…

Okay so maybe not.

Anyway, Elle and Elsa (whoa even the names sound alike) are totally similar to each other. I mean, look at the pictures side by side! Twins!

At the end of the day, everyone is a Disney princess. Even if you don’t look it. And always remember, “If you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.” – Cinderella
