Shopping just got easier: 5 of my favorite stores on Instagram

September 14, 2015

Let’s just admit, okay? Shopping is fun.

Shopping is one of if not my favorite leisure activity and recently, especially now that school has started and my time is crunched, I’ve been really loving online shopping.

And because of my crazy addiction to Instagram and Twitter and my very sad and real laziness, I have discovered stores that I’ve never heard of but fell in love with thanks to their advertisement on Instagram.

ALL THE WIRE

Created by two sisters from Texas, All The Wire is a jewelery company that stamps little messages like “be free” and “besos” on their bracelets, rings, and any other candy you wear on yourself. The name comes from one of the sisters, Desiree’s love story from when her then boyfriend and now husband told her he loved her. She asked him “Jeff, how much do you love me?” and after getting the same answer every time she stopped asking. Eventually, as they were driving on the road Jeff told Desiree to look out the window. He said, “See how the telephone wire keeps going and going? That’s how much I love you…all the wire.” And that’s how the very cute jewelery company began. I literally love everything they sell! Not to mention, the back story is a total tear jerker. (In a good way)

GOOD HYOUMAN

good hYOUman is a clothing company based in California that was created by Brett Novek when he was watching an infomercial on screen printing t-shirts and decided suddenly he would make a company in honor of his father whom to Brett was his hero. When his dad passed away, his world shook and his life changed and he wondered what he could do to keep his legacy moving. I love good hYOUman because of the messages on their shirts and how they encourage you to share your story. My favorite part about them is that they manufacture everything in LA, which gives jobs to people who need them locally and their line of shirts that say “be free” which they collaborated with none other than All The Wire. These shirts help spread awareness and help end human trafficking.

KATTILAC GEMS

Created by Kat Yarbrough, a Boynton Beach music teacher by day and jewelery maker by night, Kattilac Gems is a jewelery company that uses natural crystals and gems and handcrafts them into all kinds of hardware. Each piece is 100% one of a kind due to their “natural state”. She started making gem and crystal jewelry because she’s always loved it and believes that crystals enhance your energy by being around them. Most of the stones are thousands of years old, so you’re basically holding lifetimes in the palm of your hand. The pieces are beyond beautiful and I’m so glad I discovered this company.

DISRUPTIVE YOUTH

Disruptive Youth is a clothing company created by Tumblr star Savannah Montano. She created it because all her family and friends were asking her questions about what she wore and because her taste is very eclectic and different, it was hard to describe. So, she decided to make it easier and created a company where she would share all the pieces that spoke to her and that she thought were beautiful. I love how personal the company is and how involved Savannah is with it, sometimes even modeling the pieces she picked.

COULBOURNE

When Rocky Coulbourne created his bikinis, he pictured his perfect girl.  And even though he still hasn’t found his perfect girl, his idea lives through his work and his goal is to make anyone who tries on his bikinis to feel and understand his perfect girl. Someone who is fearless, ambitious, curious and desires adventure.
